How Confetti works
Turn plain-English ideas into CAD designs, fabrication files, parts plans and build instructions with Confetti. Start from an idea or remix a public project.
What can I make?
Use Confetti to work on physical objects such as desk accessories, organizers, brackets and electronics enclosures. Start with your own idea or browse public designs to find a project to remix.
How do I start?
Describe what you want to make, including dimensions, how it should work and any parts it needs to fit. You can attach reference images and files. Confetti asks questions when needed and proposes a build brief for you to approve before construction.
How do I revise a design?
Inspect the delivered files in the workspace and describe what you want to change. Completed revisions are saved as versions so you can review earlier work and download your project files.
What files do I receive?
Depending on the project, Confetti can deliver STEP or STL files, editable CAD source, a parts plan and build instructions. Supported electronics projects can also include firmware. Check the files delivered for your specific project; not every project includes every format or artifact.
Can I get parts made?
You can download fabrication files to use with your own printer or manufacturer. Supported projects can also get printing quotes and ordering options through Confetti. Purchased components may use separate seller checkouts. Availability and pricing depend on the files, parts and delivery destination.
How much does it cost?
Confetti uses plans and AI credits. See current plans and pricing for allowances and options. Printing, physical parts and shipping are separate costs; review the quote before ordering.
Are my projects public?
Your signed-in projects and delivered files are private unless you choose to publish them. Publishing shares a design with the community. See the privacy policy and sharing terms for details.
What should I check before building?
A CAD model or rendered preview does not prove physical fit, strength, electrical compatibility or safe operation. Check dimensions and component specifications, review fabrication requirements and test the physical build. Custom PCB design and automatic hardware certification are not supported.
