Service terms · Last updated: October 22, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Asteria Labs, Inc. (“Asteria”), which provides Confetti. By creating an account or using Confetti, you agree to them, to our privacy notice and to our refund policy.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Confetti. If you are under 18, you need a parent’s or guardian’s permission, and they must agree to these terms and make any purchase for you. You sign in with a Google account; keep it secure, because you are responsible for activity in your Confetti account. Use one account per person and give accurate contact and delivery details.
Confetti helps you develop physical-product concepts, editable models, build files and instructions. Confetti uses third-party AI service providers to generate designs, code, images and replies. Generated output can be incomplete or incorrect. Previewing a model or passing automated checks does not establish physical fit, strength, electrical safety, regulatory compliance or suitability for manufacturing. Check the design and components before purchasing, fabricating or powering anything.
You decide whether and how to build a design, and you are responsible for reviewing, building and testing it before relying on it. Confetti does not guarantee that a design will fit, work, last or be safe. Follow each component’s ratings and its manufacturer’s instructions, take care with batteries, heat, moving parts and sharp edges, and supervise children around tools, small parts and finished builds. Do not connect a design to mains power unless you are qualified to do so. Do not use a Confetti design where its failure could injure someone or cause serious damage, such as medical, vehicle, child-safety, load-bearing or life-support uses. Setting up a board installs software on the device you choose and can replace what is on it.
You retain the rights you hold in your inputs and designs. AI output may not be unique, and Confetti does not promise that every output is eligible for intellectual-property protection or free of others’ rights. You give us permission to store and process your content to provide the service, including by sending it to our service providers. Research data sharing is part of the Free plan and is on by default. Unless it is off for your account, you also give us permission to license de-identified copies of your prompts, conversations and designs, including intermediate design attempts, to AI research partners, as described in the privacy notice. Paid plans can turn it off, and you can ask us not to sell or share your personal information as the privacy notice describes; turning it off stops future licensing. You are responsible for having permission to submit reference material and share published files.
Projects are private until you explicitly publish a version. At publication, choose either Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY), which permits sharing and adaptation including commercial use with attribution, or Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 (CC BY-NC), which limits permitted uses to noncommercial purposes. The linked license text governs those permissions. Credit the creator, link the original and license, and identify your changes.
You may unpublish a design, but cannot revoke license permissions already granted to compliant recipients. Third-party components and code retain their own licenses. These licenses do not grant patent or trademark rights. Do not relicense material you do not control. A noncommercial remix must preserve its upstream restrictions. Earlier publications marked “legacy attribution” retain the permission shown when they were shared; contact the creator for additional commercial permission.
Do not post unlawful content, other people’s confidential or personal information without permission, impersonation, harassment, spam, or material that infringes others’ rights. Do not publish designs meant to injure people or damage property, such as weapons. Do not post or ask Confetti to make sexual or pornographic content, anything that sexualizes a minor, weapons or weapon parts, items made to hurt or secretly watch people, or hate symbols. Confetti refuses such requests, our team reviews them, and they can lead to a suspended account, including the loss of design requests. Do not abuse or disrupt the service, try to get around credit or usage limits, or access other people’s accounts or data. Use “Report this design” to flag a public item. We may remove public content or restrict access to address abuse or rights complaints. You can contact support to ask about or appeal a decision.
Our plans page lists current USD prices and monthly credit allowances. Paid subscriptions renew automatically every month at the price shown when you subscribe, and your payment method is charged at each renewal until you cancel. You can cancel online at any time in Manage billing, without contacting us. Cancellation stops the next renewal; the account returns to Free when the paid period ends, and existing credits retain their original expiry dates. Contact support for plan changes. Our refund policy explains cancellations and refunds.
You see a request’s credit price before paid work starts. Planning a project and reviewing its brief are free. Each project’s first standard build, including ordinary supported electronics, costs 25 credits. Once a project has a model, a small resize, recolor or move costs 5 credits and any other change costs 25. A larger supported mechanical or electronic project, or a change that turns a project into one, costs 100 or 150 credits.
Free includes 100 welcome credits valid for 90 days and 25 monthly credits, accumulating up to 100 monthly credits. Free monthly grants expire after four months. Maker and Studio carry over unused monthly credits up to two monthly allowances; each paid grant expires at the end of the following monthly period. One-time credit packs expire 12 months after purchase and remain usable after cancellation. Credits that expire soonest are used first. Referral bonuses carry over under the referral terms. We reserve the displayed credit cost when an AI request starts and charge it only when a design is delivered. Failed requests, replies without a design, and requests canceled before completion release the reservation. There are no automatic overage charges. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and do not pay for physical parts, fabrication, shipping, or subscriptions. Saved designs and exports remain available when credits run out.
Prices are estimates unless a supplier confirms a quote. Requesting a quote does not place an order. Retailers and fabricators control their own stock, prices, delivery and terms, and delivery dates are estimates.
For some orders you pay Confetti by Asteria directly, through Stripe checkout: Slant 3D prints, electronics and kits ordered through Confetti (electronics come from suppliers such as Mouser), and prints made through our manufacturing partner, Craftcloud, where Confetti offers that checkout. Stripe processes the payment for us. Your verified payment authorizes us to place the order shown at checkout with those suppliers for you. Where a Confetti service fee applies, it is shown before you pay: 5% of the supplier total, including delivery and quoted taxes, plus $0.50 per order. Suppliers may ship separately. Parts are made or bought to order, so changes or cancellation may not be possible once a supplier accepts the order or production starts; contact support promptly about problems.
Other services take payment themselves: purchases you complete on Craftcloud’s own site, and parts you buy through links to retailers. Those purchases are between you and that provider, under its terms. See the refund policy for cancellations, damaged parts and refunds.
The service may change, experience interruptions or impose usage limits; keep exported backups of important work. There is currently no paid creator marketplace or guarantee of earnings from a design. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk. If we make a material change to these terms, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you in Confetti or by email before it takes effect.
Confetti and its generated designs, files and instructions are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about Confetti is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100 if that is greater. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you, and nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited by law.
If you believe material on Confetti infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated copyright agent, the Copyright Manager, at Asteria Labs, Inc., 2261 Market Street STE 74309, San Francisco, CA 94114 or support@confetti.buildwith: your signature; the work you believe is infringed; the material on Confetti and where it is; your contact details; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner. We remove or disable material that is the subject of a valid notice, and close the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. If your material was removed by mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the same address.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute about Confetti or these terms will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco, California, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction, except where the law of the place you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts. Before filing a claim, please contact support so we can try to resolve it informally.
